“To give ourselves compassion, we first have to recognize that we are suffering. We can’t heal what we can’t feel.” - Kristin Neff

My decision to pursue a career in therapy is similar to what inspired my initial pursuit of a career in the performing arts. At its core, therapy is storytelling. As a therapist, I get the chance to provide space for a client to not only tell their story without judgement and be met with validation, but a chance to rewrite their narrative from a place of self-compassion. Throughout my career as an actor, and ultimately my training as a therapist, I was drawn to people’s experiences in grief, their relationships with their bodies, the roles they play in their families and how that impacts the decisions they make each day. I realized how my creative mind lent itself to problem solve and shift perspectives. I became a therapist to bring some creative thinking to those who feel stuck, and bring non judgement to those who feel misunderstood.

Whether in your relationship, your job, or negative thoughts that you can’t seem to redirect, you may feel like your typical coping skills or support systems aren’t enough.

That’s ok. Take a breath.

Know that untangling this right now is not something you have to do alone.

In my practice, I work with adults navigating interpersonal relationships, career stress, self-esteem and personal growths. I have experience with eating disorders, substance abuse, trauma, and a special interest in working with the unique struggles of creative and performing artists.

With experience in CBT, Mindfulness, and Feminist orientations, I utilize an integrative approach to therapy designed to meet the specific needs of the individual. Together we will observe how circumstances of the past may inform thoughts and behaviors of today. As a therapist, I aim to honor your decision to prioritize your mental health. It’s a gift that I am able to provide space to do so, and I approach my relationships with my clients with gratitude.
